DESCRIPTION:In celebration of the 250th Anniversary of the battles of Lexington and Concord\, The Lexington Pops Chorus presents “In Her Words: Songs of Courage\, Unity\, and Freedom”. \nThis concert\, featuring eminent women composers\, is highlighted by the chorus’s 2013 commission by Gwyenth Walker\, “The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere”. \nAlso featured are;\n“Lift Ev’ry Voice and Sing” by J. Rosamund Johnson/arr. Heather Sorenson\n“Goin’ To Boston”\, arr. Alice Parker\n“Until All of Us Are Free” by Mark Burrows/ words by Emma Lazarus\n“I Dream a World” by Rosephanye Powell/words by Langston Hughes\n“A Psalm of Praise” by Mabel Daniels\n“Give Me Your Tired\, Your Poor” by Irving Berlin/words by Emma Lazarus\nand much more! \nJoin us Friday\, January 17th\, 7:30 pm and Sunday\, January 19th\, 3:00 pm at Hancock Church\, 1912 Mass.
