DESCRIPTION:Come see Lexington Violin School & Lexington Strings play “Sounds of the 1700s” and “Americana” repertoire to celebrate Lexington’s 250th. The performance will take place at the Waltham Street Stage Area\, located at the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and Waltham Street. \nThe “Sounds of the 1700s” series presents music contemporary to the April 19\, 1775 skirmish on the Lexington Battle Green. \nThis event’s program includes: \n– Ludwig van Beethoven: Sonata No. 3 in Eb major for Violin and Piano\, Op. 12\, No. 3\n– Johann Sebastian Bach: Brandenburg Concerto No. 6 in Bb major for 2 Violas and Orchestra\, BWV 1051\, featuring Lexington High School and Cornell University graduate Lindsey Forg on Solo Viola 1. Lindsey was trained in viola performance at Lexington Violin School. \nSeveral “Americana” pieces will also be performed.
