DESCRIPTION:Commemorate the 250th anniversary of Massachusetts Militia and Minute forces preparing for war by hosting a Battalion-Level Winter Drill. \nThis will include several militia units\, and the Ladies Association of Revolutionary America (LARA)\, for public demonstrations of 18th Living History. \nThe event will be commence with a sermon by the Reverend Jonas Clarke\, followed by company and battalion-level drills on the Lexington Common. In compliance with the February 14\, 1775 orders of the Massachusetts Provincial Congress\, the officers of each company will inspect their men to “take a state of their numbers and accoutrements” within each company. \nThe schedule will be as follows: \n1 PM: Battalion Formation and Sermon by the Reverend Jonas Clarke\n1:30 PM – 2:30 PM: Company level drills\n2:30 PM to 3:15 PM: Battalion-level drill\n3:30 – 4:15 PM: Inspections of arms and equipment as ordered by the Massachusetts Provincial Congress
