SUMMARY:An Evening of Music and Meaning Featuring Baroque Flute Virtuoso Vincent Canciello
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an unforgettable night of artistry and preservation as internationally acclaimed baroque flutist Vincent Canciello takes center stage at a black tie gala hosted by the VMO Institute of Art. \n\n\n\nCanciello’s masterful performance will transport guests through centuries of musical tradition —all in support of a cause rooted in history and civic legacy: the preservation of the Ellen Stone Building in East Lexington. Built in 1833 as a Lyceum\, the Ellen Stone Building is a Greek Revival landmark that once echoed with the voices of Ralph Waldo Emerson\, Lucy Stone\, and other visionaries. \n\n\n\n“Echoes Before Versailles”An intimate farewell salon at VMO Institute of Art\, marking the close of Vincent’s residency and celebrating his next chapter: a graduate fellowship in France at one of the world’s leading early music conservatories. \n\n\n\nIn this special performance\, Vincent offers a program that includes work by Marin Marais\, and original newly interpreted pieces – continuing his mission to give voice to the breath between the notes. \n\n\n\nPresented by the Lexington Enrichment eXchange (LEX). this elegant evening blends cultural Excellence with community purpose. \n\n\n\nGet tickets here.
