🏮 Save the Date: Lexington Lantern Festival!

Lexington Lantern Festival returns on Sunday, March 1, 2026, bringing the community together for an afternoon and evening of light, creativity, and connection. The free, public event takes place at Cary Hall and marks both the seasonal transition from winter to spring and Lexington’s 250th anniversary.

From 1:00–4:00 PM, families can enjoy kids’ talent showcases, food, and lantern-making activities, followed by cross-cultural, interactive performances from 4:00–6:00 PM. The celebration concludes with a community lantern parade from Cary Hall to the Lexington Visitors Center from 6:00–7:00 PM, where the evening culminates in a projection-mapping display.

Led by New Legacy Cultural Center in collaboration with local organizations and community partners, the festival invites neighbors of all ages to gather, reflect, and light the way forward together. Admission is free; RSVP is encouraged.
