The Lex250 Commission is pleased to share that the Weekend of Light Drone Show on Oct. 20 was an overwhelming success! The event marked six months to go until the commemoration of the 250th Anniversary of the Battle of Lexington and the start of the American Revolution; April 19, 2025.
Four hundred drones flew in unique formations, commemorating Lexington’s history in lights. The festivities also featured the Lexington High School Parade Band, William Diamond Junior Fife & Drum Corps, Chinese American Association of Lexington (CAAL) Enlightened Dragon performance and the Lexington Minute Men.
The Weekend of Light culminated with a procession from the athletic fields to the Lexington Battle Green, where attendees were given lights and arranged to form “250.” An official overhead drone photographed the formation, creating a lasting memory of this historic event.
We thank all of our community partners, Firefly Drone Shows, and our spectators for supporting this spectacular show!
