In the final days leading up to April 19, the Lex250 Commission would like to highlight our members who have dedicated an incredible amount of time to making our 250th anniversary commemoration a success.
Today, we’re highlighting Cleveland Coats!

What specific areas of the Commission’s work are you most passionate about?
As the Director of Public Safety and Security Operations and Commission Member, I am honored to serve our Town and the 250th Commission, providing a safe and welcoming environment for all who attend our events in Lexington, the area towns and the National Park Service.
I am excited to bring decades of supervisory experience, having served as a State Police Sergeant on many Specialty Units, including:
- State Police Tactical Operations Section
- Governor’s Executive Protection Detail
- FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF)
Working alongside our Local, State, and Federal Law Enforcement and Public Safety Partners, we have put together a robust platform to ensure everyone can enjoy these family events.
What do you think is the most important aspect of commemorating this milestone?
The 250th anniversary events recognize the honorable dedication of all who have come before us in service to our country.
What event or moment are you most looking forward to as part of the 250th anniversary commemoration?
Actually, all of the events are special, but our Parade stands out for me. Having started my Law Enforcement career on the Lexington Police Department many decades ago I had the honor of being a member of the Police Honor Guard and we marched in the parade alongside Parade Grand Marshal, Police Chief James F. Corr.
