120 Media Credentials Issued for April 19

Hi everyone! John Guilfoil here from the Lex250 PR team.

Just a quick update behind the scenes here at Lex250 as we prepare for this week’s slate of events, which kicks off tomorrow with a press conference featuring Lt. Governor Kim Driscoll, documentarian Ken Burns and representatives from the Lex250 Commission, U.S. Army, and public safety officials.

As of Wednesday afternoon, we have issued 120+ official media credentials for April 19 events on the Lexington Battle Green! We have a wide slate of media coming to Lexington this weekend, including national and local broadcast media, news photographers from three continents, newspaper and online reporters, online streamers, and social media influencers. We have done our best to accommodate as many outlets as possible, and we even were able to extend passes to a number of media members who were on a waiting list or who registered late, including a college newspaper and an online Boston media outlet.

It is not easy to sort and credential for an event of this magnitude, but we also wanted to ensure that Lexington’s own robust local media — the ones who are here every year — was not left out of the spotlight with the arrival of national media. (I wish all my clients had this much local media…) We have coordinated access and credentials for LexMedia, The Lexington Times, The Lexington Observer, Lexington Living, Lexington250.com, the Lexington High School Yearbook, The Musket (Lexington High School Student Newspaper), and photographers for the Daughters of the American Revolution, Rev250, Ladies Association of Revolutionary America, Lexington Minute Men, the William Diamond Junior Fife & Drum Corps, and the British 10th Regiment reenactors. Finally, worldwide newswires/agencies including the Associated Press, Reuters, Getty Images and the European Pressphoto Agency will be on-hand.

I also want to take a moment to recognize the Lex250 media partner, NBC Boston. I had a zoom today with Jeff Saperstone and Melody Mendez, who will be at the anchor desk early Saturday morning. We are very excited to welcome everyone to Lexington this week!
