FINAL CALL: Get Your Lex250 Tree Sapling

LEXINGTON — Get your Lex250 Tree Sapling before they are gone!

The Lexington Tree Committee has collaborated with the Lex250 Commission and the Department of Public Works to give away 250 tree saplings in celebration of 250 years since the Battle of Lexington. These native trees are free for residents and businesses to plant on their property.

While many of the trees have been accounted for, a handful of Northern Red Oak trees remain available.

Residents, businesses, or property owners can sign up for a tree. While supplies last, the limit is one tree per household or business.

All tree requests are due by Saturday, April 26, and those who receive trees must have proper authorization from the property owner to plant a tree.

After successfully signing up, you will receive an email containing instructions to pick up your tree at the Department of Public Works (201 Bedford St. in Lexington). You may pick up your tree on either May 3 or May 10 between 8 and 11 a.m.
