On Monday we celebrated the Bhakti Center of Lexington, a Hindu-based spiritual and cultural organization that fosters community connection and joy through vibrant public events and year-round educational programs.
Each year, the Bhakti Center brings Lexington together through its beloved Festival of Colors, rooted in the Hindu celebration of Holi. This exuberant gathering at Hastings Park invites people of all backgrounds to welcome spring with music, dance, multicultural performances, delicious food, and the joyful throwing of colored powders — a symbol of renewal, unity, and shared celebration. This year’s Festival of Colors will take place on June 14, 2025.
Beyond the festival, the Bhakti Center offers year-round classes in yoga, meditation, and devotional philosophy inspired by Hindu wisdom traditions. These programs, open to all ages, cultivate spiritual reflection, inner peace, and meaningful community connection.
As we near Lexington’s 250th anniversary, the Bhakti Center’s contributions exemplify the town’s values of inclusion, cultural celebration, and shared purpose. Through their vibrant programming and warm outreach, they help make Lexington a more spiritually rich and welcoming place for all.
