Lex250 Commission Highlight: Chair Suzie Barry

In the final days leading up to April 19, the Lex250 Commission would like to highlight our members who have dedicated an incredible amount of time to making our 250th anniversary commemoration a success.

Today, we’re highlighting Chair Suzie Barry!

What specific areas of the Commission’s work are you most passionate about?

Planning and logistics

What do you think is the most important aspect of commemorating this milestone?

Sharing the significance of the Battle of Lexington from 250 years ago that formed our Country.

What event or moment are you most looking forward to as part of the 250th anniversary commemoration?

Well, all of it! Lex250 and our community partners have put together a really good portfolio of events, but if I have to pick one, I would say the U.S. Army Golden Knights parachute jump onto the Battle Green at the Battle Green Rededication on April 19th. I keep checking the weather to make sure they will be able to make the jump.
