Lex250 Commission Highlight: Bridger McGaw

In the final days leading up to April 19, the Lex250 Commission would like to highlight our members who have dedicated an incredible amount of time to making our 250th anniversary commemoration a success.

Today, we’re highlighting Bridger McGaw!

What specific areas of the Commission’s work are you most passionate about?

My focus has always been on the important role that logistics and event management play in executing the historic media coverage and enjoyment of the participants in any major event like the 250th celebration. Ensuring both the audience and the assembled media can capture and experience the historic moment, as well as the emotion of this day, has been so fun to plan over the last two years.

What do you think is the most important aspect of commemorating this milestone?

Our nation is very young and any opportunity to reconnect. Americans with their history is important. I feel this is even more important these days to understand what the costs were in pursuit of the freedom and liberty we now enjoy under the Constitution.

What event or moment are you most looking forward to as part of the 250th anniversary commemoration?

I am really looking forward to the Rededication of the Battle Green and the celebration of the birthday of the United States Army. It’s just a new component to the Reenactment and the Parade. But generally, I’m just excited to see all the hard work of the Commission, the town’s residents and businesses, and federal, state and local government staff come to fruition.
