Lexington Strings will present a recital of music contemporary to the April 19, 1775 skirmish on the Lexington Battle Green. The performance will take place at Estabrook Auditorium in the Cary Memorial Building.
The concert program includes:
- Antonio Vivaldi: Concerto in G major for Solo Violin, Strings and Continuo, Op. 3 “L’Estro Armonico”, No. 3, RV 310 (1711)
- Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: Violin Concerto No. 4 in D major, K. 218 (1775)

Based in Lexington, Massachusetts since 1984, Lexington Strings are musicians Letitia Hom, Yukiko Ueno Egozy, Michael Valdez and Vida Baterina Hom.
Ms. Hom plays a violin originally commissioned by and made for Roman Totenberg in 1982. Luthier Guy Rabut, in New York City, patterned the violin after Mr. Totenberg’s 1736 Giuseppe “del Gesù” Guarneri violin made in Cremona, Italy.
This program is made possible by the generous donors to the Cary Library Foundation.
