We are only 37 days away from the kick-off of Lexington Patriots’ Day Weekend 2026, beginning with the annual Patriots’ Day Award Ceremony (and some Pre-Award Ceremony Festivities), the VO250 Arch Lighting, and Paul Revere’s Ride Reenactment – all on Friday, April 17, 2026!
Friday is just the start of the action-packed weekend. On Saturday, April 18, 2026 we will all gather at 5:15 am at the Battle Green for the Battle of Lexington Reenactment – a Patriots’ Day Weekend staple. Throughout the morning there will be various food offerings including the annual Pancake Breakfasts, as well as other baked goods.
For our runners – the Lions Club 112th Patriots’ Day 5-Mile Road Race will kick-off at 8:00 AM. The road race will be followed by the USS Lexington Ceremonies at 9:00 AM. More details to follow on both events.
Beginning at 10:00 AM the British will make their way from St. Brigid Parish to Munroe Tavern for a series of reenactments beginning at 10:30 AM. This will all culminate in the reenactment of the Battle of Tower Park at 11:15 AM. Additionally, Hancock Church will be hosting their Patriots’ Day Bell Concert at 11:00 AM.
The Patriots’ Day Parade will kick-off at 1:30 PM this year – the step-off point is at the intersection of Maple Avenue and Massachusetts Avenue, and will follow through to Lexington Center, ending at Worthen Road.
To end the day, the Lexington Bicentennial Band and Lexington Pops Chorus will be hosting a concert at Battin Hall in the Cary Memorial Building starting at 7:00 PM.
Lexington History Museums will also be hosting a Patriots’ Day Living History event on Monday, April 20, 2026 and the Naturalization Ceremony on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at 11:00 AM on the Lexington Battle Green. Additional event details for Sunday, April 19, 2026 and Monday, April 20, 2026 will follow!
