Mo Rocca, CBS News Sunday Morning Visit Lexington to Explore the Shot Heard Round the World

LEXINGTON — On the weekend of the 250th Anniversary of the Battle of Lexington, which sparked the American Revolution, CBS News Sunday Morning correspondent Mo Rocca visited the town to explore the shot heard round the world.

Rocca interviewed members of the Lexington Minute Men, who reenacted the Battle of Lexington on the 250th anniversary on Saturday, Lexington History Museums and Minute Man National Historic Park.

The story, “The birth of the American Revolution,” is nearly 8 minutes long.

“With the American Revolution, which began 250 years ago this month, it can be harder to appreciate the life and death stakes in the colonists’ fight for freedom,” Rocca said.
