🌟 Today’s #CalendarKeepers highlight is Lexington Caroling!
Lexington Caroling is the volunteer group that organizes Lexington’s Annual Christmas Eve Caroling event at the Hastings Park Gazebo. This event was started in 2003 by Jackie Piscitello. According to Jackie, “I grew up with this wonderful tradition in Connecticut and once we started our own family in Lexington, I could not bear the thought of being without caroling on Christmas Eve! I thought Lexington was the perfect town to start this type of tradition and the community has really embraced the idea!”
On Christmas Eve, hundreds of residents and neighbors gather to sing an assortment of traditional and favorite carols. Musical accompaniment is provided by members of the Lexington Bicentennial Band. Lexington Scouts distribute hot cocoa, cookies, and song sheets to all! Dance Inn lends jingle bells for the finale!
