Today’s #CalendarKeepers for the #CountdownTo250: The Lexington Historical Society! 🔥📜
This Saturday, join the Lexington Historical Society as they lead the charge in the Annual Tea Burning Reenactment —a powerful act of defiance that paved the way to revolution! Stand up to King George III and witness this historic moment brought to life as we remember Lexington’s vital role in the fight for independence. 🎄 Drop by Buckman Tavern this weekend to enjoy festive holiday decorations and shop for unique gifts steeped in history. Building open at noon and the tea burning is at 1:30.
🛡️ As the Belfry stands ready to sound the alarm, we reflect on the Road to Revolution during the second week of December 1774—a critical time in Lexington’s history when the seeds of liberty were taking root.
Special thanks to Craig Sandler, President of Lexington Historical Society, who braved the cold this morning to change the calendar and keep us on track for this exciting weekend of commemoration and celebration.
The Lexington Historical Society continues to preserve and share Lexington’s story, from rebellion to revolution, inspiring us to honor the past and prepare for the future. Don’t miss the reenactment and festivities! #Lex250 #CountdownTo250 #RoadToRevolution #TeaBurningReenactment #LexingtonHistory #Community #PreserveHistory
