Today’s #Calendar Keepers for the #CountdownTo250 are some of the incredible team members of “Lafayette Returns,” a remarkable reenactment of the Marquis de Lafayette’s 1824 visit to Lexington
This reenactment, organized by the Lexington Historical Society with support of their Community Partners, will take place on TODAY — Monday, September 2, 2024, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM on its actual 200th Anniversary and on its original site, the Lexington Battle Green.
Join us on the Battle Green to see how Lexingtonians in the early 19th century welcomed celebrated war heroes! Using extensive research, we will recreate the original program of this event.
