🌟 Today, we are thrilled to spotlight FOLMADS (Friends of Lexington Music, Art & Drama Students) as our #CalendarKeepers for the #CountdownTo250! 📆✨
FOLMADS, a volunteer parent-run non-profit organization, is dedicated to supporting and enriching arts education for Lexington’s students. With a focus on music, art, and drama, FOLMADS provides vital resources, funding, and volunteer support to help students thrive creatively and academically. 🎭🎨🎶 Annually, @Folmads raises money to fund grants for a variety of activities, including guest artists for bands, support for students to attend music festivals, equipment for a bio art class, and original compositions, including a band piece for the #Lex250! 🎶🎨
They also organize volunteers for high school events and art shows, offer internships to high school students, and honor performing arts seniors with flowers at the spring LHS Pops concerts through a partnership with @oakknollflowers. This year, they started a business donor program to further support public school arts programs. 💐🎭
