Today, we spotlight the Temple Isaiah Sisterhood as our #CalendarKeepers for the #CountdownTo250.
On this last day of Jewish American Heritage Month, the Temple Isaiah Sisterhood is pleased to represent the Jewish and Lexington communities. The Sisterhood includes more than 250 members who strive to live by the Jewish value of Tikkun Olam, or Repairing the World. Each year, the Sisterhood raises funds and contributes to Community organizations through its Annual Grants Program in Lexington and the world beyond. A highlight of the year is it’s Fall Rummage Sale, now in it’s 60th year. Rummage clients respond with wonderful notes reminding us that they have affordable clothes for everyone in their family, a treasure trove for social service organizations, and the best thrifting opportunities all year.
