52 Days to Go – Honoring Cotting School’s Capstone Program

Today’s #CalendarKeepers for the #CountdownTo250 are students in Mr. Teuber’s and Ms. Cain’s Capstone classes at Cotting School. Established in 1893, Cotting meets the unique needs of students with a broad range of learning and communication disabilities, physical challenges and complex medical conditions.

Cotting’s Capstone program prepares students for life beyond the classroom by emphasizing practical skills, community engagement and personal growth. Under the guidance of Mr. Teuber and Ms. Cain, these students engage in a wide range of activities, from cooking chili together to visiting local farms to doing internships at local businesses through Cotting’s Project Bridges program.

As Lexington approaches its 250th anniversary, the contributions of Cotting School exemplifies the town’s commitment to inclusivity, education and community involvement. These initiatives not only enhance the lives of the students but also enrich the broader Lexington community.

Thank you, Mr. Teuber, Ms. Cain and all those at Cotting School for your dedication to fostering growth and connection within our community.
