Through 330 years of history, First Parish in Lexington has stood strong—just as it did today, February 6, 2025, braving the snowfall as our #CalendarKeeper!
Founded in 1692, First Parish has long been a pillar of faith, activism, and community. On April 19, 1775, its bell tolled the alarm, calling Lexington’s militia to the Battle Green. Over the centuries, its congregation has championed abolition, women’s rights, and social justice.
As we count down to Lexington’s 250th, we celebrate First Parish’s unwavering presence—through storms, through seasons, and through history.
