As we continue the #CountdownTo250, Sunday we celebrated #CalendarKeepers Shishu Bharati, a Lexington-based institution dedicated to perceiving, preserving, and promoting Indian culture, heritage, and languages. For 47 years, Shishu Bharati has played a vital role in connecting generations of Indian American families to their roots while preparing students to be cultural ambassadors in their new home.
This is a thriving community of students, teachers, and volunteers committed to passing down the richness of Indian traditions. Through a curriculum that encompasses language instruction, history, geography, philosophy, arts, customs, and current events, Shishu Bharati ensures that students gain a deep understanding of their heritage while fostering cross-cultural connections.
